The pervasiveness of The Irish Time’s propaganda, sadly with an article appearing in Saturday’s Irish Times, dated  October 27th. By Diarmaid Ferriter, Irish historian, and university lecturer;- Nuns’ side of story needs to be heard-Silence and selective recounting of history reinforces caricature of ‘bad nuns’  Mr. Ferriter, continues, “Just what is the nuns’ story?” he asks his readers. Mr. Ferriter, continues, “we have not got enough sense of the perspective of the religious sisters involved in running institutions, including the mother-and-baby homes, back in the spotlight again following the decision to excavate the site of the Tuam home”. Maybe he is just stupid, or Irish Times journalist was being somewhat disingenuous as well as cynical, that’s possible. You see the Nuns, The Bons Secours Sisters who ran the Mother and Baby Home in Tuam in County Galway, had already told their story through their public relations Person. Terry Prone. The high profile Irish PR representative responded with the following, an exact email:

    Bon SecoursYour letter was sent on to me by the Provincial of the Irish Bon Secours congregation with instructions that I should help you. I’m not sure how I can. Let me explain.When the “O My God – mass grave in West of Ireland” broke in an English-owned paper (the Mail) it surprised the hell out of everybody, not least the Sisters of Bon Secours in Ireland, none of whom had ever worked in Tuam and most of whom had never heard of it. If you come here, you’ll find no mass grave, no evidence that children were ever so buried, and a local police force casting their eyes to heaven and saying “Yeah, a few bones were found – but this was an area where Famine victims were buried. 


    So?”Several international TV stations have aborted their plans to make documentaries, because essentially all that can be said is “Ireland in the first half of the twentieth century was a moralistic, inward-looking, anti-feminist country of exagerrated religiousity.”Which most of us knew already.The overwhelming majority of the surviving Sisters of Bon Secours in Ireland are over eighty. The handful (literally) still in active ministry are in their seventies. None of them is an historian or sociologist or theologian and so wouldn’t have the competence to be good on your programme.
If you’d like me to point you at a few reputable historians who might be good, I’ll certainly do that.

    So Mr. Ferriter, as can be seen the Sisters of Bon Secours in Ireland, did respond in 2014, through their hired PR Firm, The Communications Clinic” headed by its co-owner, Ms.Terry Prone. The Bons Secours Sisters choose to lie, by taken on a well known PR Firm to do their lying for them. The Nuns who ran the Mother and Baby Home seem to have conveniently developed a disease called “collective amnesia”.


    The Bon Secours Sister had said that they were unawareness of any grave “in the area” of their Mother and Baby Home. In spite of the fact that they sold all their lands in Tuam’s Mother and Baby Home, to property developers, all except the enclosed plot of land in which they hid their lies and horrors, from the world. The plot of land which held their wicked and horrendous secrets, the Septic Tank with its disposal of 796 rejected babies and children. All 796 rejected babies and children were from 1925 to 1961..and not from the Great Famine in Ireland between 1845 and 1849. The Home was originally built in 1841 as a Workhouse, the Workhouse opened in 1846. Between 1925 and 1961 the Bon Secours Sister took over and ran the Workhouse as a Mother and Baby Home, where thousands of unmarried pregnant women gave birth. The Septic Tank was not built until the mid Victorian era of 1880.


    A 1947 report by an Official Inspector who visited Tuam’s Mother and Baby Home, says- some of the children were suffering from malnutrition, -12 out of 31 infants examined were described as being "emaciated and not thriving". It also says that the Home was overcrowded, with 271 children and 61 mothers living there. Death rates were extraordinarily high: 


34 per cent of children died in the home in 1943; 


25 per cent died in 1944; 


23 per cent died in 1945; 


27 per cent died in 1946. 


    The Official Report goes on to state "The death rate amongst infants was high... The death rate had appeared to be on the decrease but has now begun to rise again. It is time to enquire into the possible cause before the death rate mounts higher." The slanted report went on to say, "the care given to infants in the Home is good, the Sisters are careful and attentive; diets are excellent. It is not here that we must look for cause of the death rate”. 

    Considering that The Bon Secours Sisters were paid for each mother and each child in the home, the County Council paid the Nuns £1 per person, mother and child, a week. (Average female earnings in 1949 were £2.97/week. Which was a very large amount of money at that time). So an inflation rate of 5.29% per year means £1 in 1945 is worth £41.02 in 2018. ... In other words, £1 in 1943 is equivalent in purchasing power to £41.02 in 2018, that was huge money in 1943. In addition most of the women were sent directly to nearby Magdalene Laundries after giving birth, forced to work as unpaid slaves, as punishment for their perceived recidivism.


    The Bon Secours Sisters also made money from Child trafficking, according to the Irish Examiner on 3 June 2015, which published -Tuam’s Mother and Baby Home.  "A large archive of photographs, documentation and correspondence relating to children sent for illegal adoption to the USA”. We now know that most of the vulnerable children were sold for $3,000 to $5,000 per child…The other rejected children who didn’t make it were allowed to starve and die, and as we sadly know were flushed into the Septic Tank, in Tuam’s Mother and Baby Home. The Bon Secour Sisters made at the time from selling over 1,000 babies and children in America;- $3 Million to $5 Million dollars, so let’s say the year 1945 and to adjust for inflation, the  $3 million in 1945 is equal to $41,548,988.76 in 2018. And Adjusted for inflation, $5 million in 1945 is equal to $69,248,314.61 in 2018.

    Also;- Two Senior Irish Police Officers on the 6th. of June, 2014, were appointed to lead a "fact-finding" mission. They were asked to gather all surviving records and to carry out preliminary tests on the suspected mass grave. The Irish Police (Gardaí) concluded--“There was no Criminal Investigation as yet because there was No Evidence of a Crime”. In spite of the fact that 796 discarded and rejected Babies and Children are now known to be disposed of into a Septic Tank, belonging to the Bon Secour Sisters in their Mother and Baby Home in Tuam. And maybe another 1,800 other women and children in the immediate area of the Septic Tank, buried under the Children’s nearby Playground. 


    On 3rd. of  March, 2017, the Mother and Baby Homes Commission of Investigation announced that human remains had been found during a test excavation carried out between November 2016 and February 2017 at the site of Tuam’s Mother and Baby Home. Forensic Tests conducted on many of the remains indicated they had been aged between 35 foetal weeks and 2–3 years. The announcement confirmed that the deceased died during the period of time that the property was used by the Mother and Baby Home, not from an earlier period, as most of the bodies dated from the 1920s to the 1950s. The remains were found in an "underground structure divided into 20 chambers”, (Septic Tank). The Commission said "it had not yet determined what the purpose of this structure was but it appeared to be a Sewage Tank. 


    So the newspaper of record, The Irish Times, uses the Cult’s propaganda to influence individuals’ attitudes and actions and to cultivate public support for their idea of a benevolent Cult, the Irish Catholic Church. Just so we know, Mr. Hitler and Goebbels did not invent Propaganda. The word itself was coined by the Roman Catholic Church to describe its efforts to discredit Protestant Teachings in the 1600s. Please let us remember, that The Irish Catholic Cult were notable for making propaganda a key element of their total control, over all levers of power, particularly the Irish Press, by appointing all its editors. The Irish Catholic Cult were able to penetrate virtually every form of Irish Media, from newspapers, film, radio, television,  posters, books, and rallies to museum exhibits and school textbooks, with The Irish Catholic Cult propaganda. Whether or not propaganda was truthful or tasteful was irrelevant to the Cult. Yes Mr. Ferriter, we did hear from both The Bon Secours Sisters and The Irish Catholic Cult, we heard them loud and clear for over 100 years. Regrettable fact, that 10s of thousands of rejected babies, children, women, were flushed, dumped into the many Septic Tanks, Mass Grave Pits in all the 17 Magdalene Laundries, Dozens of Mother and Baby Homes and the 127 Industrial Schools and Orphanages of Ireland, Mr. Ferriter, let us ask them, in the Septic Tank, ha, but unfortunately we can’t, but I can answer, I was 18 years in these Religious Run Institutions. I lost my entire family in these Religious Run Institutions,  my Mother, Brothers, and my Sisters, as have thousands of fellow Survivors, who are still alive today, please Mr. Ferriter, just ask them, about their Brother, Sisters, and Mothers, disposed of into the Septic Tanks, Mass Pits in the Religious Run Institutions. Please Mr. Ferriter, as a historian, a human being, a family man, stop carrying the Propaganda for the Cult, hold them accountable.   Owen Felix O’Neill

    A geriatric 82 year so called old holy man, dressed from head to foot in ivory white and off his delusional medication, unsteadily strolls out to his balcony window in his ostentatiously costly and opulent palace and waves at his adoring fervent fans below, in St. Peter's Square, in Rome and says-  “Satan is attacking his Bishops; they must fight with prayer,” and the overwrought old man continues- “Bishops must remember, particularly when under attack, that their role is to pray, be humble in knowing God chose them and remain close to the people,  said the agitated patient in his early morning homily”.

 On the opulent palace balcony this schizophrenia person, speaks and deals with other distressed male patients, waiting in their ostentatious and luxurious wards behind him. All garlishly dressed in robes of scarlet red silk dresses with their chains of gold pyramid of problems, like the diseases of raping, torturing and killing children, and their collective coverups, while continuing to pillage and loot, millions of innocent children’s childhoods. The senile man and his followers can be further characterised by holding idiosyncratic beliefs of a supernatural nature, and make hypothetical propositions and statements, that are contradicted by reality and rational argument and thought. Typically as a symptom of his and their mental disorders, he, claims to be a direct descendant of a mystical figure called St. Peter and he should be hospitalised immediately for schizophrenia and delusional paranoia.

     Psychosis is a symptom, not an illness, when St. Peter's disciple  loses touch with reality and sees, hears, believing things that aren’t real. Of course the other delusional old men behind him, are known as Cardinals and Bishops in The Papal Basilica, also hold on to untrue and strange beliefs, the poor delusional and vulgar old boys in their palaces, imagine they hear and see things too that don’t exist. You see the difference between what’s real and what’s not is, in his and their speeches which are unclear and their behaviour is disorganised, bordering on blind panic. This St. Peter’s disciple, now feels paranoid, experiencing hallucinations, about a mystical figure called Satan and is having trouble expressing clear coherent ideas, how very sad. Also these mentally deranged old men, standing behind him, resplendent in their richly colourful dresses, with their criminal personalities, need to see their psychiatrists immediately, maybe he or she can unexplained their strange thinkings and perceptions. The trained psychiatrists might be able to find out what caused their unorthodox believes and belief and uncover any related conditions. They will be diagnose with mental illnesses after ruling out other things that could be causing their psychotic symptoms. After all, they all read, believe and consult a 4th.century ancient book of lies dressed up in Latin and this outdated book they try to use to justify their very existence and the very existence of the world. 

    The first obvious manifestations of a figure called Satan which is attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding and the laws of nature, can be found in ancient literature, going back thousands of years. How ironic that Peter’s apostle also said, “it seems like the Devil, "the great accuser, has been let loose and he's got it in for our tawdry Bishops”. He also is so convinced that Satan is ultimately to blame for both the sexual rapes of millions of children world wide, and the world-wide coverup of the heinous crimes, and not his rabelaisian Bishops and lewd Priests. Also that he the true descendant of St. Peter, has enlisted the aid of another mystical historical figure called St. Michael the Archangel. The talking and ramblings of this paranoid old man, who continues to suffer from horrific hallucinations, says that St. Michael the Archangel was the leader of a band of imaginary angels who ousted Satan, the fallen angel, from paradise, or heaven . In the New Testament story, this St. Michael, leads God's armies against Satan’s forces in the fantastical Book of Revelation, where during the War in Heaven, St. Michael defeats Satan.


     Now in Catholic mythology Satan, also known as the Devil, is an enemy in the Abrahamic Religions that seduces us humans into sin and falsehood. According to this humble and lecherous St. Peter’s disciple and his lascivious Bishops, The Holy Bible is God’s Laws and history. In reality the Books of the Bible are rooted in a genre of speculative fiction set in a fictional universe, often without any locations, events, or people referencing the real world. Also its roots are in oral traditions, which then became literature and drama. This book, commonly known as The Bible, is and can be seen as a speculative fiction book that contains unrealistic settings, and magic, often set in a fictional universe, involving mythical beings and supernatural forms as a primary element of the plot, themes, and settings. I haven’t invented this, please don’t take my word for it, forget the religion, just read the book known as the Bible as a story, it is a very fine fantasy as escapism.


    In the book of myths known as Genesis from the Bible, it does not mention a Satan or Devil. Satan is often identified as the serpent in the garden of Eden and played a minimal role in Christian theology always used as a comic relief figure. Hard to believe, recently Satan's significance greatly increased as beliefs such as demonic possession and witchcraft became more prevalent. During the Age of Enlightenment, belief in the existence of Satan became harshly criticised. Nonetheless, belief in Satan has persisted, to this day, encouraged by the dishonest and unscrupulous scoundrels of the descendant of St. Peter, his preposterous Bishops and Cardinals from their opulent palaces. This degenerate old man, St. Peter’s disciple now speaks, and who firmly believes that a mythical figure of Satan incites humans to sin by infecting their minds with evil suggestions. He also believes that it was fictitious Satan, alone, that encouraged the rape of millions of children and not by his risible Bishops and reprobate Priests.

     How absolutely outrageous and insulting is this, to us, the surviving Survivors, who have to endure years of childhood rape at the hands of his hysterical Clerics. Yes they are and were the true devils, evil itself, all in their black robes. The rape of million of children and their childhoods, is to blame it on the mythical figure of the Devil, why not blame it on say, another fictional figure called-“Faust” who was the protagonist of a classic German legend, based on the historical Johann Georg Faust. it is more likely that the descendant of St. Peter is a Faustian an ambitious priest, who has surrendered his moral integrity in order to achieve, corrupt power and success for a delimited term, his lifetime. Or better still, why not Mephistopheles, another mythical figure of vulgar fun, at least this Mephistopheles, and this word derives from the Hebrew, which means "plasterer of lies”, and that summons it up for me. In the fictional novel, a literary work, Mephistopheles, as the lead antagonist, is an agent of the Devil, appears and at first advises Faust not to forgo the promise of heaven but to pursue his goals”.


    We also have real magic in the form of transubstantiation as Catholic Church dogma, stating that "by the consecration of the bread and wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord and of the whole substance of the wine or or grape juice are changed also into the body and blood of Christ. Good luck trying to explain that to a psychiatrist, that should be fun. The manner in which the change occurs, the Roman Catholic Church teaches, is a mystery. At one time, the death penalty was specifically prescribed for any person who denied, this nonsense called- Transubstantiation. We could go on, with explaining the Virgin Birth story, the age of Mary (12) and Joseph, (90) and hundreds of different magical things, but no, thank the Greeks, not god for science.

    But what is great about The Enlightenment of the 18th century, was that it included a range of ideas centred on reason as the primary source of authority and legitimacy and came to advance ideals like, an emphasis on the scientific methods, along with increased questioning of religious orthodoxy and individual liberty, progress and tolerance, including separation of Church and State, along with increased questioning of religious orthodoxy, an attitude captured by the phrase "Dare to Know”. It also fought against the fixed and stupid dogmas, excessively credulous belief in and reverence for the supernaturals of the Roman Catholic Church, as a true cult and other cult religions. I think a new Age of Enlightenment is long overdue in the Roman Catholic Church. Owen Felix O’Neill
